Rıza Kocaoğlu — Biography
Rıza Kocaoğlu, born on March 19, 1979 in İzmir, is a Turkish film and television actor. He graduated from the Acting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University. He first appeared on screen in 2001, in the leading role of Çağan Irmak's film Bana Şans Dile, a performance that earned him the Best Actor award at the Şile Büyülü Fener Film Festival.
After Av Mevsimi (2010), Kaybedenler Kulübü (2011) and Labirent (2011), he became widely known for his role as Ali in Kuzey Güney (2012). He played Yasin 'Kibrit' in Karadayı (2012), Davut in İçerde (2016) and Aliço in Çukur (2017). Recently he has appeared in productions such as Zeytin Ağacı (2022), Asaf (2024) and İnci Taneleri (2024); in 2026 he made headlines with a stage play and by announcing that he had lost 16 kilos. His father is İsmail Kocaoğlu, the famous Göztepe fan leader nicknamed 'Başbakan' (Prime Minister).
