The Messenger (Ulak) (translated)

Ulak (The Messenger) is a 2007 Turkish fantasy drama film written and directed by Çağan Irmak, marking the director's fourth feature. Produced by Avşar Film, it screened at film festivals in Istanbul, Adana and Antalya before going on general release across Turkey on January 25, 2008, and became one of the highest-grossing Turkish films of 2008.

The story follows a mysterious traveler who journeys from village to village, telling children tales about a messenger named İbrahim. The cast is led by Çetin Tekindor, alongside Hümeyra, Yetkin Dikinciler, Şerif Sezer, Feride Çetin, Kaya Akkaya and Melis Birkan, with the film standing out for its fairytale-like storytelling and strong ensemble.
