Feride Çetin — Biography

Feride Çetin (born 5 November 1980 in Istanbul) is a Turkish actress, journalist and director, born into a family of Bulgarian immigrants. She graduated from the Radio, Television and Cinema Department of Istanbul University's Faculty of Communication and later earned a master's degree in cinema and television at Marmara University.

She began her career behind the camera, training at the Theatre Research Laboratory and working as an assistant to Kutluğ Ataman. Discovered on the set of Ataman's film İki Genç Kız (2005), she was cast in the lead role of Behiye, a performance that won her the best actress award at the 2006 Adana Altın Koza Film Festival. She went on to appear in films such as Gomeda (2007), Ulak (2007) and Güzel Günler Göreceğiz (2011).

On television she has acted in series including Rüya Gibi, Hatırla Sevgili, Aşk ve Ceza, Anneler ve Kızları, Eve Dönüş, Hercai (as Zehra) and Taçsız Prenses (2023). Also active in journalism and theatre, she returned to the stage in 2026 with the play Kahkaha Çiçeği.
