Berk Hakman — Biography

Berk Hakman was born on 14 August 1981 in Ankara. The son of Ataman Hakman, a musician in Erkin Koray's band Yeraltı Dörtlüsü, he grew up surrounded by music. While studying Tourism Management at Akdeniz University he became interested in acting through the theatre club; he then graduated from the acting department of the Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory.

He began his film career in 2003 with the film Okul, became known in 2006 for the role of Deniz in the series Hatırla Sevgili, and took the lead role in the film Janjan. He played Gazanfer in Suskunlar, the first Turkish series sold to the USA for a remake, won a Best Actor award for his role in the series Kaçak, and played Zafer in the award-winning film Tepenin Ardı.

The actor, who has appeared in series such as Siyah İnci, Duy Beni and Ne Gemiler Yaktım, returned to screens in 2025 with the series Sahtekarlar and the film Gecenin Kıyısı. Also involved in music and photography, Hakman is the composer of the song Texas.
