Black Sea (Kara Deniz)

Black Sea is a 2014 submarine disaster thriller directed by Kevin Macdonald and written by Dennis Kelly. A co-production of the United Kingdom, the United States and Russia, the film stars Jude Law, Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn and David Threlfall, with Grigori Dobrygin also in the cast. It was released in the United Kingdom on 5 December 2014 and in the United States on 23 January 2015.

The story follows a submarine captain who, after being let go by the salvage company he served for years, puts together a crew to recover a rumored gold treasure lying in a sunken German U-boat from World War II at the bottom of the Black Sea. As conditions underwater grow harsher, fear and mistrust turn the crew members against one another, and the men come to realize that their greatest enemy is themselves.
