Green Light (Yeşil Işık)

Green Light (original title: Yeşil Işık) is a 2002 Turkish romantic drama film written and directed by Faruk Aksoy. Blending fantasy elements into its story, the 112-minute production opened in Turkish cinemas on 5 April 2002.

The plot follows Ali, an investor who loses everything when the September 11 attacks trigger a stock market collapse, and then dies of a heart attack. Because his time has not yet come, the afterlife refuses him, and since his liver has been transplanted into another person, he cannot return to Earth either. His guardian angel Yakup tells him his only chance is to find and kill the organ's recipient — but that person turns out to be Elif, with whom Ali falls in love.

The leading roles are shared by Hülya Avşar, Kenan Işık and Haldun Dormen, with Çolpan İlhan, Cengiz Küçükayvaz, Deniz Akkaya, Arda Kural, Eşref Kolçak, Yasemin Kozanoğlu and Doğa Bekleriz also in the cast.
