Arda Kural — Biography

Arda Kural was born on 12 April 1980 in Yalova. After finishing Yalova Industrial Vocational High School, he trained in drama for two years and became a professional actor at Tiyatroroman Theatre, the company he founded in 1997; he also had a brief stint as a VJ on Kral TV. He made his television debut in Eyvah Kızım Büyüdü in 1999-2000 and went on to appear in Şemsi Paşa Pasajı, Kuzenlerim, Lise Defteri and the military comedy series Emret Komutanım, where he played Posta Ferit; on screen, he was also seen in Yeşil Işık, Banyo, Sahne, Beyza'nın Kadınları and Gelecekten Bir Gün.

His career took a difficult turn in late 2012, when financial strain following a poorly paid film role coincided with a mental health crisis that led to his hospitalization at Bakırköy Psychiatric Hospital; in the summer of 2015, he and his mother were evicted from their home in Büyükçekmece over unpaid rent, a story that drew wide media attention and prompted the local municipality to offer assistance.

Kural has largely stepped away from film sets in recent years; press coverage from 2025-2026 reports that he has moved into the gold trading business, while also linking him to a new relationship.
