Engin Hepileri — Biography

Born on March 3, 1978, in Istanbul, Engin Hepileri first encountered theatre as a high-school student at Cağaloğlu Anatolian High School, appearing in a Devlet Tiyatroları production of Dört. After completing a graduate degree in theatre at Istanbul University's State Conservatory, he joined the Kent Oyuncuları theatre company, and in 2008 made his directing debut by staging Israel Horovitz's play Kuyruk.

He reached wide audiences through the series Kampüsistan (2003) and Emret Komutanım (2005), played singer Kazım Koyuncu in the film Yağmur: Kıyamet Çiçeği (2014), and appeared as Hakan Eren in the Turkish adaptation of Revenge, İntikam. He went on to work in productions including the series Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir (2019), the film ANKA (2022), and Prestij Meselesi.

He has also worked periodically as a television presenter for TRT. He is married to Beyza Şekerci, and in May 2026 he lost his mother.
