Ayak İşleri (Running Errands) is a Turkish web series from AC Film that mixes comedy and action. Its first episode appeared on the GAIN platform on 12 May 2021. Caner Özyurtlu directed it, and he wrote the scripts with Volkan Öge and Deniz Alnıtemiz. It ran four seasons and 38 episodes in all, with the last one on 25 October 2024. Each season aired on a different weekday: Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Friday in turn.

Çağlar Çorumlu and Güven Murat Akpınar share the lead. Çorumlu's Vedat is an experienced hand who shuts his eyes and does as he is told; Akpınar's Evren studied philosophy and questions every step. They are the pair a wealthy businessman sends on his “extremely important” errands. A fresh job each episode pushes them into another adventure, but they end up fighting each other more than the task demands.

Guests include Sarp Akkaya (Burhan), Uraz Kaygılaroğlu (Chef Yiğit), Şenay Gürler (Ufuk), Taner Barlas (Vasfi), Şebnem Sönmez (the fortune-teller Nimet), Bülent Emin Yarar (Sermet), Esra Ruşan (Hale), Sarp Apak (Kenan) and Naz Çağla Irmak (Yasemin); Özyurtlu himself appears as Birkan.

Through different eyes

Series Binger A series devotee tracking character arcs, cast chemistry and season pacing.

On one side an experienced hand who shuts his eyes and does as he is told, on the other a philosophy graduate who questions every step: the friction between the pair is the show's engine. A fresh job each episode is a good mechanism for keeping the formula alive across four seasons. The weak side is that this adventure-per-episode design can slide into repeating the same quarrel rather than growing the characters. The long line of guest stars gives some air when the routine starts to repeat. Suited to anyone after light comedy to watch episode by episode.

Action & Thriller Fan Puts pace, tension and set pieces first; little patience for slow drama.

A mix of comedy and action, though the needle sits on comedy. There is a new adventure every episode and the pace is quick; the two leads fight each other more than the job, which may disappoint anyone chasing tension. It is for fans of a lighter tone rather than those who come expecting real set pieces. The shifting weekdays across seasons may have made it harder to follow on air, but on a streaming platform that does not matter.

Cinephile Looks at script, editing and directing choices; keeps a distance from formula films.

With the director also among the writers, the series has a unity of tone, and Özyurtlu taking a part in his own show reinforces that personal stamp. The comedy rests on the classic mismatched-pair formula, which is not new. The real question is how much that old mould is renewed over four seasons: one supposedly vital errand per episode turns the storytelling into short sketches and may leave anyone seeking depth empty-handed. But if lightness is the ambition, it delivers on it.
