The Way We Are (Biz Böyleyiz)

Biz Böyleyiz (The Way We Are) is a 2020 Turkish feature that blends comedy and drama. Caner Özyurtlu directed the picture from his own screenplay, with Avşar Film and AC Film producing.

The story follows a circle of friends whose bond stretches back to their childhood. When they reunite to visit an elderly relative who means a great deal to them all, the gathering stirs up long-buried memories, unresolved tensions, and questions about what their friendship has become over the years. The journey they share lays bare the gap between the past they remember and the lives they lead today.

The ensemble features Berrak Tüzünataç, Engin Öztürk, Şebnem Bozoklu, Özge Özpirinçci, Meriç Aral, Boran Kuzum, and veteran actress Hümeyra.
