Boran Kuzum — Biography
Boran Kuzum was born on 1 October 1992 in Ankara to a couple who worked in theatre — his father as a deputy manager at the Ankara State Theatre, his mother trained in fine arts. After a year studying economics at Gazi University, he turned to acting and graduated from the Theatre Department of Istanbul University's State Conservatory in 2015.
He appeared on screen in 2015 as a pharmacist's assistant in Analar ve Anneler, then played the Ottoman sultan Mustafa I in Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem. His role as the Greek lieutenant Leon in the War of Independence drama Vatanım Sensin brought wide recognition; he went on to play Cüneyt in the film Cingöz Recai and took the part of Treplev in a staging of Chekhov's The Seagull that opened the Istanbul Theatre Festival.
In 2020 he played Emrah in the film Biz Böyleyiz and Savaş in the series Saygı, alongside roles in Hakan: Muhafız and Aşkın Kıyameti. In 2026 he took an international role in the US Netflix series Big Mistakes, and soon after made his directing debut.
