Şebnem Bozoklu — Biography
Şebnem Bozoklu (born 25 August 1979, Istanbul) is a Turkish theatre, television and film actress. Her paternal family is from Isparta and her maternal family from Siirt with Egyptian roots; she spent most of her childhood in Kadıköy, Istanbul.
She graduated from Kadıköy Girls High School in 1996 and from the School of Fine Arts of Dokuz Eylül University in 2000, completing her acting studies at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center in 2004. In 2005–2006 she directed a play at Çisenti Theatre, and in 2006–2007 she presented the TRT programme "Hazır Mısınız?" and worked as a soloist and puppeteer on "Elma Kurdu".
Her breakthrough came with the role of Meliha in the series Canım Ailem, which earned her the Golden Butterfly Award for Best Comedy Actress in 2009. She went on to appear in series such as Ulan İstanbul and the International Emmy-winning Şahsiyet, and in the films Albüm (2016), Cebimdeki Yabancı (2018) and Yılbaşı Gecesi (2022).
