Recep İvedik 2

Recep İvedik 2 is a Turkish comedy film released in 2009. Şahan Gökbakar both stars in and wrote the screenplay, while his brother Togan Gökbakar directed the film. Produced by Faruk Aksoy and Aksoy Film, it is a sequel to the first installment in the series.

The film continues the adventures of Recep İvedik, a rough and uncouth but lovable young man who doesn't quite fit into societal norms. His elderly grandmother wants him to find a stable job, get married, and gain respectability, so our hero sets out to find work. Recep, who causes chaos at every job he takes, also learns about life through the comical incidents he encounters at his cousin's workplace. Şahan Gökbakar stars in the lead role, supported by Begüm Öner, Zeynep Çamcı, and Esin Gündoğdu.

The film, primarily set in Istanbul, was a huge box office success, becoming one of the most-watched Turkish films of its time and reaching millions of viewers. However, some of the character's behaviors were criticized by various groups.
