Piano Piano Kid (Piano Piano Bacaksız)

Piano Piano Bacaksız is a 1991 Turkish drama film directed by Tunç Başaran, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ümit Ünal and Kemal Demirel. Its title comes from the Italian phrase "piano piano," meaning "slowly," and it was produced by Çiçek Film.

The story takes place in Turkey in 1944, during the Second World War, inside an old wooden mansion where a different family lives in each room. Life in the mansion and the friendships lost in a harsh world are told through the eyes of an eight-year-old boy, while the film casts a critical look at the İsmet İnönü era. The cast includes Rutkay Aziz, Yaman Okay, Emin Sivas, Serap Aksoy, and Ayşegül Ünsal. The film was selected as Türkiye's entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the 65th Academy Awards but was not accepted as a nominee.
