Who Wants 500 Billion? (Kim 500 Milyar İster?) (translated)

Kim 500 Milyar İster? is a Turkish quiz show that debuted on 7 March 2000 and remained on air until 2004. Adapted from the British format Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, the program was presented by the actor Kenan Işık.

Contestants tried to claim the top prize of 500 billion Turkish lira by giving correct answers to fifteen consecutive multiple-choice questions; following the 2005 currency redenomination, that sum equalled 500,000 new lira. When stuck, players could rely on three lifelines: a fifty-fifty option that removed two wrong answers, the chance to call a friend for help, and a poll of the studio audience. Over the course of its run, the show was broadcast on Show TV and later on Kanal D.
