Berna Laçin — Biography

Berna Laçin was born on 20 August 1970 in the Karşıyaka district of İzmir, the daughter of a military pilot. After finishing school locally, she moved to Istanbul with her family, briefly studied architecture, then switched course and enrolled in the theatre department of the Istanbul State Conservatory. She began her professional stage career at Kenter Theatre before moving into television.

She became known during the 1990s for roles in productions such as Gökkuşağı, Böyle mi Olacaktı and Ateş Dansı, then reached wider audiences in the 2000s through the series Evdeki Yabancı and Belalı Baldız, alongside appearances in several feature films. Beyond acting, she has hosted various television programs and performed in a number of stage plays.

Married to Tolga Eşiz since 1996 and mother of a daughter, Laçin has more recently toured with her one-woman show Hayal Satıcısı and remains a frequently discussed, outspoken voice on social media regarding current issues.
