Murat Yıldırım — Biography

Murat Yıldırım is a Turkish film and television actor born on 13 April 1979 in Konya, with family roots in Mardin. A graduate of the Mechanical Engineering department at Yıldız Technical University, he was active in amateur theatre during his student years before making his screen debut with a small role in the TV series "Ölümsüz Aşk" in 2003.

He rose to wider recognition in 2006 through the series "Fırtına" and the film "Araf," released the same year, and consolidated his popularity opposite Tuba Büyüküstün in the series "Asi." Between 2009 and 2011, his portrayal of Savaş in "Aşk ve Ceza" (Love and Punishment) earned him numerous awards, and he went on to appear in a string of widely watched productions including "Suskunlar," the "Kocan Kadar Konuş" film series, "Ayla," "Ramo," "Teşkilat" and "Aziz."

In 2026, Yıldırım drew praise for his performance in the Kanal D series "Güller ve Günahlar," and the same year he returned to screens alongside Fahriye Evcen — reuniting with her after nine years — in the film "Turquoise Summer."
