Justice (Adalet) (translated)

Adalet is a Turkish crime film released on 1 October 1978, directed and produced by Melih Gülgen through his company Gülgen Film. Written by Samim Utku and shot in colour by cinematographer Cahit Engin, it mixes police, adventure and action elements with a distinctly political edge.

Cüneyt Arkın stars as Kemal, with Kenan Pars and Firuz also in the cast. Responding to a murder tip at Ayfer's brothel, commissioner Musa and Kemal find a man dead; soon afterwards Musa himself is killed by Orhan, a hitman working for the prominent businessman Şahmat. Kemal then sets out to capture the killer and bring his powerful protector before the law, as the film follows the officers' struggle to expose the corrupt ties between politics and big business.
