Hook (Kanca) (translated)

Kanca is a 1986 Turkish adventure film directed and written by Melih Gülgen, with a score by Cahit Berkay and cinematography by Ender Turgut and Şener Işık. Cüneyt Arkın stars as Major Şahin and Aytekin Akkaya as Captain Hasan, with Nilgün Ersoy and Tarık Şimşek rounding out the cast.

The plot follows two officers who, after being captured and tortured by Greek Cypriot forces and eventually repatriated to Turkey in a prisoner exchange, struggle to rebuild their lives; when Şahin's son is murdered, the two war-scarred comrades set out together to hunt down those responsible.
