Father's Crime (Babanın Suçu) (translated)

Babanın Suçu ("The Father's Guilt") is a 1976 Turkish film directed and produced by Melih Gülgen, from a screenplay by Mehmet Aydın. Cüneyt Arkın takes the lead, supported by Erol Taş, Tarık Şimşek and Yıldırım Gencer.

The story follows a father who has lived in America for years and returns to Turkey after learning his son faces execution for a murder he refuses to believe he committed; convinced of his son's innocence, he investigates on his own and uncovers that the real killer is the young man's employer, while the estranged son initially meets his father's return with resentment.
