Hüseyin Peyda — Biography
Hüseyin Örmen (January 27, 1919, Şanlıurfa - July 30, 1990, Istanbul) was a Turkish actor, director, screenwriter, and producer.
During his 55-year career, Peyda primarily played 'landlord' or 'mafia boss' characters in Yeşilçam films. He was an indispensable actor for villain roles in Yeşilçam cinema. He appeared in many films alongside Cüneyt Arkın. One of the rare films where he played a good character was the 1975 film Babanın Oğlu, in which he played 'İmam Hüseyin' and Cüneyt Arkın starred in the leading role.
In film circles, Hüseyin Peyda became known as a filmmaker who reinvested his earnings from the films he acted in into films he directed himself.
