Alberto Dell'Acqua — Biography

Alberto Dell'Acqua was a familiar face of the Italian spaghetti-western wave, working as an actor and stuntman from the mid-1960s into the late 1970s. On screen he was mostly billed as Robert Widmark, and sometimes as Cole Kitosh, Al Waterman or Albert Nova. He is known in Turkey under the first of those names, because he also took part in Yeşilçam films.

He first faced a camera in 1955 in Luigi Capuano's La rossa and went on to appear in more than forty productions. His western work is concentrated in the late 1960s: Killer Caliber .32 (1967), Kill Them All and Come Back Alone (1968) and Boot Hill (1969) belong to this period. His best-known parts are Sartana in Alleluja & Sartana Are Sons... Sons of God and Trinity and Sartana Are Coming (both 1972). They Call Me Trinity (1970), Battle of the Amazons (1973) and Mannaja (1977) are also in his filmography, and he worked with Lucio Fulci on Zombi 2.

In Turkish cinema he is remembered for Üç Kağıtçılar (with Cüneyt Arkın), Baş Belası, in which he played Piç Rıza, and Babanın Evlatları, alongside Tarık Akan. His brothers Arnaldo, Roberto and Ottaviano also worked as actors and stuntmen. Sources give his birth year as either 1938 or 1944.
