Richard Harrison — Biography

Richard Harrison, born in 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah, is an American film actor, screenwriter, director, and producer. He worked as a model in his youth before moving to California in the early 1950s, where he began acting in small stage productions and television around Santa Monica. Minor Hollywood roles followed, and he later relocated to Italy, where he was offered leading parts in peplum films and quickly became a recognized star there. Through the 1960s and 1970s he built his career largely in European B-movies and early-1970s exploitation cinema, collaborating with filmmakers like Antonio Margheriti and Marino Girolami alongside co-stars including Anita Ekberg, Klaus Kinski, and Helmut Berger. His career continued into the 1980s, and in 1979 he also appeared in the Turkish film Anasının Gözü.
