Zehir Hafiye

Zehir Hafiye is a 1989 comedy directed by Orhan Aksoy and starring Kemal Sunal. Cemal is a young man who earns his living as a taxi driver but, as a devoted reader of detective novels, pictures himself in his daydreams as a famous police sleuth. His chance to play the part for real arrives when a young woman named Zeynep climbs into his cab: she is the daughter of a mafia boss and has run away from home because her father disapproves of her relationship with Oktay, whom she met at university. The encounter pulls Cemal into an unexpected adventure. Turgut Özatay also appears in the cast.
