Şemsi İnkaya — Biography
Born on 13 April 1939 in Istanbul, Şemsi İnkaya studied at a commerce high school before training at a conservatory, and made his stage debut with the amateur Istanbul University Students' Union Youth Theatre in the play "Pabuçcu Ahmet," developing his craft under veteran theatre figures such as Avni Dilligil and Ulvi Uraz.
Over a long screen career he appeared in numerous films and television series, including "Zehir Hafiye" (1989), "Kıskıvrak" (1986) and "Sinekli Bakkal" (2007), and played İsmet İnönü in the 2013 series "Ben Onu Çok Sevdim." He is best remembered for playing the ruthless father Halil in the series "Üvey Baba," a role still regarded as one of the most memorable villains in Turkish television history.
