Clumsy Shakir (Sakar Şakir) (translated)

Sakar Şakir is a 1977 Turkish comedy directed by Natuk Baytan, who co-wrote the screenplay with Suavi Süalp. Şakir, a man from Kayseri whose clumsiness exasperates everyone around him, receives a telegram summoning him to İstanbul; his uncle dies before they can meet, leaving him a large inheritance. A relative unwilling to share the fortune begins plotting to get rid of him.

Yet it is precisely Şakir's clumsiness that saves him from every trap, while his chases with Gardrop Fuat on the road from Kayseri to İstanbul and in the city itself drive the film's pace. Produced by Cem Film and running 90 minutes, the film stars Kemal Sunal, with Adile Naşit, Ali Şen, Ayfer Feray, İhsan Yüce, Ünal Gürel and Kamer Sadık in the cast.
