Zeynep, played by Filiz Akın, earns her living singing in a bar. An industrialist invites her to perform at his company's anniversary party, where she meets Doğan, a car mechanic played by Cüneyt Arkın, in a lift. He takes her for the daughter of the house and introduces himself as an engineer, and she does not correct him. When flowers Doğan sends end up in the hands of the industrialist Hayrullah Bey (Hulusi Kentmen), he joins the game too. The romance reaches a trip to Uludağ. Doğan's former girlfriend then learns the truth and lies to him about Zeynep. The engagement breaks and Doğan goes abroad to work. A sham marriage that Zeynep makes with Hayrullah Bey for her child's sake tangles the story. Doğan returns years later, rich, and young Ayşe's account opens the way to a resolution.
