Love Me Instead (Beni Çok Sev)

Love Me Instead (Beni Çok Sev) is a 2021 Turkish drama film written and directed by Mehmet Ada Öztekin. It premiered on Netflix on November 19, 2021, reaching international audiences under its English title.

The story follows Musa, who has spent 14 years in prison with three years left on his sentence, when he is granted a special one-day leave to see the daughter he last saw as a small child. Prison guard Sedat accompanies him throughout the day, while the girl has been raised in the care of Musa's old friend Nuriye. Flashbacks gradually reveal the events that led to Musa's imprisonment, and the day's unexpected turns reshape the story.
