The Lord of the Seagull (Martıların Efendisi)

The Lord of the Seagull is a 2017 Turkish drama film directed by Mehmet Ada Öztekin from a screenplay by Meriç Demiray. Filming was completed in August 2017, and the film opened in theaters on 22 December 2017.

The story centers on a man known as the "Lord of the Seagull," who leads a quiet life by the sea in Istanbul. The mysterious guest he has long awaited finally washes ashore dressed in white, a seeming symbol of innocence. Though she is touched by his pure and gentle world, the woman he has pinned all his hopes on will in turn introduce him to the real world through a bitter experience. The 120-minute film, produced by TMC Film, stars Mehmet Günsür and Timuçin Esen.
