Georges Wilson — Biography
Georges Wilson was a French stage and screen actor, born on 16 October 1921 in Champigny-sur-Marne. He became a leading figure of French theatre in the later twentieth century, at the helm of the Théâtre National Populaire between 1963 and 1972, while his screen work brought him both César and BAFTA nominations.
His film credits ranged across decades and genres, including Le Rouge et le Noir, Mandrin and Max et les Ferrailleurs, and he was the father of actor Lambert Wilson. Wilson died in Rambouillet on 3 February 2010.
