Wise Guys

Wise Guys, originally titled Les Godelureaux, is a 1961 French-Italian film directed by Claude Chabrol and adapted from a novel by Éric Ollivier. Released in France on 17 March 1961, it has been described as a revenge drama, a comedy-drama, and a crime story with touches of political satire. Produced by Cocinor, the film runs about 99 minutes, with Chabrol also credited as its screenwriter.

Jean-Claude Brialy and Bernadette Lafont lead the cast, supported by performers such as Dominique Zardi and Henri Attal, while Chabrol himself appears in a small role. The picture stands among the director's early works, made during the first years of the French New Wave.
