Male Hunt

La Chasse à l'homme is a 1964 French-Italian comedy directed by Édouard Molinaro, from a screenplay by Michel Audiard, Albert Simonin and France Roche. The film turns the usual romantic chase upside down: a group of women determined to get married pursue their chosen men by every available means, not hesitating to resort to pressure, deception and seduction. Despite seeing themselves as clever and untouchable, the men all end up as helpless prey. The ensemble cast brings together some of the biggest French stars of the era, including Jean-Claude Brialy, Catherine Deneuve, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Claude Rich, Françoise Dorléac and Marie Laforêt. The result is a mischievous, lighthearted look at the battle of the sexes.
