Şafak Bekçileri

Şafak Bekçileri is a Turkish drama film from 1963. It was directed by Halit Refiğ and written by Bülent Oran. The film was produced by Göksel Arsoy, who also played the lead role of First Lieutenant Göksel Akıncı. Released on 14 October 1963, the production featured a cast including Leyla Sayar, Nilüfer Aydan, Ekrem Bora, Ahmet Tarık Tekçe, Hüseyin Baradan, Mümtaz Ener and Sami Hazinses.

The screenplay was initially rejected by the censorship board on the grounds that the first lieutenant pilot kissed girls; it was later approved after the intervention of Air Force Commander İrfan Tansel.
