Prison Break

Created by Paul Scheuring, Prison Break is an American action-drama series that premiered on Fox on August 29, 2005. It follows Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit, and his brother Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), who tattoos the prison blueprints on his body and gets himself incarcerated at Fox River State Penitentiary to engineer an elaborate escape and clear Lincoln's name. The first season proved so popular that its planned thirteen-episode run was extended by nine episodes.

After four seasons the series ended on May 15, 2009, returning in 2017 with a nine-episode fifth season for a total of 90 episodes. In Turkey it first aired on CNBC-e and was later shown dubbed on Star TV under the title "Büyük Kaçış." Ramin Djawadi's theme music earned an Emmy nomination in 2006, and the show won the 2006 People's Choice Award for Favorite New TV Drama.
