Prison Break: The Final Break

Prison Break: The Final Break is a 2009 American television film that concludes the story of the series Prison Break. Directed by Brad Turner and Kevin Hooks, it covers the events left unexplained at the end of the fourth season, between the fall of The Company and the revelation of Michael Scofield's death. After Sara Tancredi is framed for the murder of Christina Scofield and sent to prison, Michael devises one last escape plan to free her, a scheme that ultimately leads to his own fate. The film also discloses what becomes of Gretchen Morgan. Unusually for the franchise, it did not premiere on Fox: it first aired in Israel and the United Kingdom in May 2009, and arrived on DVD and Blu-ray in July of that year. For eight years it stood as the series' final chapter, until an unexpected fifth season appeared in 2017.
