Offroad

Offroad is a 2012 German comedy film directed by Elmar Fischer, who co-wrote the screenplay with Susanne Hertel. Backed by Claussen+Wöbke+Putz Filmproduktion, it was shot in late 2010 across Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Geilenkirchen.

The story follows a woman who wins an old off-road vehicle at auction and discovers roughly fifty kilograms of cocaine hidden inside its door panel; after learning of her fiancé's infidelity, she decides to sell the drugs for a fresh start, drawing the attention of both the police and the actual dealers. Nora Tschirner leads the cast alongside Elyas M'Barek, Maximilian von Pufendorf, and Leslie Malton, with Turkish actor Aykut Kayacık also appearing in the film.

Critical reception was mixed to negative, but the film performed well commercially, drawing around 421,000 admissions and ranking among the twenty most-watched German productions of 2012.
