Grange Hill

Grange Hill is a British children's television series produced by the BBC. It premiered on BBC One on February 8, 1978, and ran until September 15, 2008, reaching 31 seasons and 601 episodes, making it one of the longest-running shows in British television history. The creator of the series was Phil Redmond, who later went on to create shows such as Brookside and Hollyoaks.

The series is set in Grange Hill, a fictional state school in North London, and depicts the daily life of a school. It has attracted attention for tackling harsh, often unusual, topics for children's dramas, such as bullying, learning disabilities, teacher-student relationships, racism, drug addiction, teenage pregnancy, and homelessness.

The series was produced by the BBC for its first 25 years, after which it was independently produced by Mersey TV, founded by Redmond. During this period, filming locations moved from real schools in London to Elstree studios and then to Liverpool. One of the actors in the series is Erkan Mustafa.
