The Remaining (Geriye Kalan) (translated)

Geriye Kalan is a 2011 Turkish drama and the feature debut of Çiğdem Vitrinel, who directed and produced the film and co-wrote the screenplay with Şebnem Vitrinel. Sevda, who has placed her seven-year marriage at the center of her life, is devastated when she learns that her husband Cezmi is having an affair with Zuhal, a colleague at the same hospital. For Zuhal, raising her sick son alone, Cezmi brings passion and security, while Sevda clings to her marriage and begins to slip into the other woman's life; the sudden return of Zuhal's ex-husband Mustafa, hoping to reconcile, upends the balance between all three.

The film stars Devin Özgür Çınar, Şebnem Hassanisoughi, Erkan Bektaş and Burak Tamdoğan, with Birsen Dürülü also in the cast. It won Best Director and Best Actress for Devin Özgür Çınar at the 48th Golden Orange Film Festival and was released in Turkish cinemas in September 2012.
