Cops Is Cops

Cops Is Cops (original title: Il était une fois un flic) is a 1972 French-Italian crime comedy directed by Georges Lautner. The picture is adapted from Richard Caron's novel TTX 75 en famille. Its principal cast features Michel Constantin, Mireille Darc, Michael Lonsdale and Venantino Venantini. Running about 95 minutes, the film was produced by Gaumont, with Lautner sharing screenwriting credit alongside Francis Veber. It belongs to the wave of popular police comedies that flourished in French cinema during the early 1970s.
