Good King Dagobert

Good King Dagobert (original French title: Le Bon Roi Dagobert) is a 1984 French-Italian historical comedy directed by Dino Risi. French comedian Coluche headlines the cast, alongside Michel Serrault, Isabella Ferrari, Michael Lonsdale, Venantino Venantini and Nello Pazzafini. The film takes its title from the well-known French nursery rhyme "Le bon roi Dagobert".

Although the cast features historical figures, the plot itself is fictional. Co-written by Gérard Brach, Dino Risi and Agenore Incrocci, the French-language production runs 118 minutes and blends a medieval setting with comic storytelling.
