Block C (C Blok) (translated)

C Block is a 1994 Turkish drama film written, directed and produced by Zeki Demirkubuz. Made under Mavi Filmcilik as Demirkubuz's feature-length debut, it premiered in August 1994 and runs 92 minutes.

The story follows Tülay, a resident of Block C in a housing complex whose marriage survives only on paper. When she catches her maid and the building caretaker together in her own bed, she begins to reassess her troubled life and decides to build an entirely new one. Serap Aksoy plays Tülay, alongside a cast including Fikret Kuşkan, Zuhal Gencer, Selçuk Yöntem and Güler Ökten. The film earned several honors, including the Jury Special Award in the national competition at the 1994 Istanbul Film Festival, prizes at the Ankara Film Festival, and SİYAD awards for best film and best director in 1995.
