Scorpion's Nest (Akrep Yuvası) (translated)

Scorpion's Nest is a 1977 Turkish crime-adventure film directed by Melih Gülgen, written by Erdoğan Tünaş and produced by Memduh Ün for Uğur Film. Featuring music by Orhan Gencebay and cinematography by Cahit Engin, the 95-minute color film was released in April 1977.

The story follows Commissioner Kemal (Cüneyt Arkın), a police officer who has declared war on the mafia. Angered by his operations, mob leaders hire Kadırgalı Tahir (Eşref Kolçak), a former tough guy just out of prison, as a hitman to eliminate him. Tahir wounds Kemal at his home while he is with his journalist girlfriend Melike (Banu Alkan), but later discovers from a photograph on the wall that the commissioner is his long-lost brother. The cast also includes Hayati Hamzaoğlu, Aydın Haberdar, Ata Saka, Hüseyin Zan and Yadigar Ejder.
