Saygın Soysal — Biography

The son of a father from Çaykara and a mother from Ilgaz, Saygın Soysal was born on 21 May 1982 in Ankara; at the age of two his family moved to Bursa, and he later finished high school in Trabzon. He trained at the State Conservatory of Hacettepe University.

He first appeared on screen as Çavuş Yunus in the 2005 series Kırık Kanatlar, played Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Hatırla Sevgili the following year, and reached a wider audience with Asi in 2007. His part in the film Kosmos (2009) was well received, and he then took roles in Türkan, Al Yazmalım, Tatar Ramazan, Bu Kalp Seni Unutur mu? and the 2013 production Muhteşem Yüzyıl.

Playing Fatih Dündar in the 2014 series Kara Para Aşk brought Soysal recognition abroad as well, and he kept working in series such as Payitaht Abdülhamid, 46 Yok Olan, Çukur, Hakan: Muhafız and Maraşlı. He married Gökçe Uzun in August 2018, divorced in 2020, and lost his father in August 2024. That same year he shared the lead in the released film Karanlıktan Kaçış; in 2025 he appeared in Geleceğe Mektuplar and played Korkut in Veliaht, and in 2026 he took the role of Dragić in D.I.S.C.O.
