Sabina Toziya — Biography

Sabina Toziya was born on 17 April 1946 in Skopje, then part of Yugoslav Macedonia, and was an ethnic-Turkish actress from North Macedonia.

She began her acting career at the Skopje State Theatre, and through the 1980s and 1990s became a familiar face on Macedonian television, appearing in productions such as Treto Doba, Solunski Patridii, Crveniot Konj and İlinden.

Turkish audiences first came to know her through the 2012 series Muhteşem Yüzyıl, in which she played Afife Hatun, but she achieved her greatest fame playing Hayriye Çakırbeyli in the series Eşkiya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz, which began in 2015.

Sabina Toziya died on 10 August 2021 in her native Skopje.
