Honey and Cream (Bal Kaymak) (translated)

Bal Kaymak is a 2018 Turkish family film directed by Onur Tan. It stars Tarık Ünlüoğlu, Beren Gökyıldız, and Sabina Toziya.

The film tells the story of young Bade against the stunning backdrop of the Balkans' natural beauty. Having lost both parents, Bade lives with her aunt Sezen; however, when her aunt moves abroad, she is entrusted to her father, Adem. The long-standing animosity and rivalry between her grumpy grandfather Adem, who produces the world's best honey, and her estranged grandmother Havva, who makes the best clotted cream, takes an unexpected turn with Bade's arrival in their lives.

The film was shot in the abandoned village of Lazarapole in Macedonia, in Skopje, and in the UNESCO-protected city of Ohrid.
