Osman Fahir Seden — Biography
Osman Fahir Seden, usually credited as Osman F. Seden (22 March 1924 – 1 September 1998), was a Turkish film director, screenwriter and producer, and one of the leading figures of the Yeşilçam era. Born in Istanbul, he attended the Deutsche Schule Istanbul and graduated from the Istanbul University Faculty of Law.
After writing screenplays together with Lütfi Ö. Akad, he founded his own company, Seden Film, and made his directorial debut with Kanlarıyla Ödediler (1955). Over a career spanning more than four decades he worked on well over a hundred films and television productions, among them Aşktan da Üstün (1960) and the popular comedies İnek Şaban (1978), Dokunmayın Şabanıma (1979) and Deli Deli Küpeli (1986); he also appeared occasionally as an actor.
He was named a State Artist of Turkey in 1991 and died in Istanbul in 1998.
