Football (Futboliye) (translated)
Futboliye is a 1983 Turkish comedy film written and directed by Osman F. Seden. Produced by Kadri Yurdatap and Fikret Ertuğrul for Mine Film, with cinematography by Kaya Ererez, the picture runs about 80 minutes and pokes fun at the football transfer business in classic Yeşilçam style.
The plot turns on a botched transfer: when Hüsnoviç, a footballer expected to arrive from Yugoslavia, turns up drunk, the tea-seller Hüsnü is put in his place. The switch gives Hüsnü a chance to prove himself to Bahar, the volleyball player he loves, but everything unravels once the real Hüsnoviç reappears.
Aydemir Akbaş stars as Hüsnü, with Bülent Kayabaş as the match-fixer Rıfat and Ali Şen as Veli Şan. Bahar Öztan plays Bahar, and singer İbrahim Tatlıses makes a guest appearance as himself.
