Durul Bazan — Biography

Durul Bazan, the only child of the noted economics professor Selçuk Bazan, was born on 20 September 1972 in Istanbul and trained as an actor at the Theatre Department of the State Conservatory at Mimar Sinan University, later working for years at the Kenter Theatre. He made his television debut in 2000 as Tarkan in Çarli İş Başında, and became widely known the following year as Necati opposite Emel Sayın and Mehmet Ali Erbil in Aşkım Aşkım. He went on to appear in Yıldızların Altında, Yuvam Yıkılmasın, Hayat Bilgisi, Emret Komutanım and its sequel Şah Mat, and Son Ders: Aşk ve Üniversite, then played Korsan Ercüment in the 2009 film Türkler Çıldırmış Olmalı, the same year appearing in Karanlıktakiler before joining Gecekondu in 2010. After Avrupa Avrupa (2011-2012) and Kocamın Ailesi (2014), he took roles in Ateşböceği (2017), Yüzleşme (2019, as Yakup) and Ağır Romantik (2020), then played Rıza in Duy Beni in 2022. He appeared in the Netflix series Yaratılan in 2023, returned to screens in 2025 with the film Düğün Evi and the series Modern Kadın, and closed out that year by joining the long-running series Arka Sokaklar as Adem Ağa.
