Burcu Biricik — Biography

Burcu Biricik is a Turkish actress born on 4 May; sources give her birth year as either 1988 or 1989 and her birthplace as either İzmir or Antalya. In 2006 she was crowned Queen of the Mediterranean at the Miss Mediterranean pageant in Antalya. An award at a theatre festival during high school convinced her to pursue acting professionally. While studying archaeology at Ege University she trained with the Bornova Municipality City Theatre, performing as an intern in plays such as İkinin Biri, Yaşlı Hanımın Ziyareti and Yedi Kocalı Hürmüz.

She made her television debut in 2007 with a supporting part in Maçolar. In 2011 she shared first place with Alican Aytekin in Artiz Mektebi, an acting competition on Kanal D. After small roles in Muhteşem Yüzyıl and Ustura Kemal, she played Derya, a girl from Thrace, in Düşman Kardeşler, Seda in Beni Böyle Sev and Kübra in Şeref Meselesi. Wide recognition came with Hülya Cevher in Hayat Şarkısı (2016–2017).

In 2019 she co-starred with Erdal Beşikçioğlu in the film Çiçero and took one of the leads in the series Kuzgun. She guest-starred as Boncuk in Kırmızı Oda, appeared in the Netflix series Fatma and played Nalan İpekoğlu in Camdaki Kız from 2021 to 2023. In 2016 she married advertising executive Emre Yetkin.
