The Cat Misses (Kedi Özledi)

Kedi Özledi (The Cat Misses) is a 2013 Turkish romantic comedy directed by Mustafa Şevki Doğan. The film was conceived as the opening chapter of a trilogy the director had been developing for a long time, with a screenplay by Baykut Badem and Filiz Ekinci. Produced by Avşar Film and distributed by Warner Bros., it premiered in December 2013.

The story follows a couple who love each other deeply yet struggle with ongoing problems in their relationship. A cat that enters their lives becomes the unexpected catalyst that helps Kıymet and Kadir rebuild their broken bond, and their attempt to mend things is told in a lighthearted, humorous tone.

Algı Eke stars as Kıymet opposite İlker Ayrık as Kadir. The supporting ensemble includes Selim Erdoğan, Burcu Biricik, Erkan Sever, Açelya Elmas, and Oya Aydoğan.
